What types of wood are used?
We offer a variety of woods - all chosen for their beauty, durability and value. All of our reproduction furniture is constructed of solid pine or alder. The majority of our imported, antique furniture is constructed of solid elm, walnut or teak.
Is the wood durable enough for outdoor use?
Our furniture is not intended for outdoor use, however it can be used outdoors in covered areas which protect the wood from direct exposure to sun or moisture. Over time the finish will show wear and will need to be refinished. If you don’t mind the weathered look, you may also decide not to refinish at all.

Every piece of furniture at Burke’s, whether antique or reproduction, is hand-made and hand-finished. We have specialized in handcrafted furniture for over two decades and our goal since day one was to provide quality furniture at an affordable price. With our own workshop, we are able to offer our line of reproduction furniture at wholesale prices directly to the public. In addition, we are also direct importers of antiques from around the world. We personally travel to China, Europe and India to hand select each piece of furniture that we sell. As a result, we have the largest selection of authentic antiques at a fraction of the cost of other retailers.

Yes. With our own local workshop we have the ability to custom build furniture to your exact specifications. Can I order a specific piece with a different finish?
Yes. We offer a wide variety of finishes ranging from high gloss lacquers to rustic paint finishes. Our line of Reproduction Pine furniture is shown with a hand rubbed wax finish, however any of our reproductions can be ordered with a custom finish.
What is the turnaround time when custom building furniture?
Custom orders typically take 6-8 weeks to complete.
How much deposit is required to place a custom order?
We require the entire amount to be payed at the time of purchase. We work on small margins therefore we are unable to take partial deposits.
Is delivery local available?
Yes. We use independent delivery companies for all local deliveries. Pricing varies based on distance and number of items being delivered. Generally, cost ranges from $75 - $150. For a specific quote, please feel free to contact us at any time.
Do you ship outside Los Angeles?
Yes. We ship primarily within the Continental U.S. However, we can and have shipped worldwide.

How do I maintain the finish?
We recommend using a dry, smooth cloth to wipe down the surface of furniture. A slightly damp cloth can also be used but must be followed with a dry cloth to prevent water marks being left behind. We do not recommend using any type of household cleaning products as they may damage the finish.

What’s your return policy?
For the most part, all items are final sale. We do offer the option of taking items on a 24 hour memo which gives you the opportunity to try the piece in your home to see if it fits your needs. If the item is returned within the 24 hour period, we will give a full refund for the purchase amount. All other items are final sale.
